How to Avoid Roaming Fees While Abroad + Win £50 Flight Voucher & More

When I go travelling, I love taking pictures and sharing my adventures with all my friends. But a simple tweet or Instagram post can quickly add up and to be honest I’d rather spend that money on local food treats and nice souvenirs!

So how do I avoid those nasty roaming fees? Well, I usually look for a free Wifi hotspot which is easy in big cities like New York but proves to be a challenge at more secluded locations. If I can’t get access to a hotspot, I usually wait until I’m back home, but that’s not ideal either because I rather share my experience on the go.

Recently, I came across the mobile provider Three that allows you to use your phone allowance like at ‘home’ in several countries including Spain, Italy, France and even Australia and the US. Not all destinations are covered (unfortunately Germany is one of them) though, so it really depends on your travel behaviour, but you could potentially save a lot of money and time looking for a hotspot. 😉

They also did that very cool #makeitright TV ad that definitely got my attention and it makes me smile every time I see it. Check it out here:

Let’s move to the competition…

Thanks to Three, I’m excited to give away a £50 flight voucher that can be used towards your next dream holiday, plus a pre-paid Three SIM card, so you never have to worry about roaming fees again.

I share most of my pictures on Instagram on the go because it’s a great way to show friends what I’m up to and I also love the filters that make all pictures look really nice.

I always share my holiday pictures on Facebook – some when I’m away but most of them when I’m back home once I had a chance to look through them 🙂

I always upload my holiday pics to Facebook for all my friends and family to have a look (and so they can tag themselves in any of the pictures!)

I also write up my travels on my blog 🙂

I usually share pictures from my holidays on Facebook. It would be nice to use a blog though, but I don’t travel enough to keep the blog active.

I use Instagram and Facebook, and also try to get some printed to put in (actual) photo albums 🙂

Hi, After each trip, I would normally collage photos from the trip using picture collage app on my phone and then share those photos on social sites such as facebook or instagram. I sometimes create a film using iMovie to put together clips, photos from a holiday and share with my family & friends.

My favourite tip is: always use Instagram to fix your pictures with filters
